It was in October of 2019 when I was in Kolkata, India, to be a competition judge among 13 members of a jury. The International Jury Award took place during the Durga Puja festival to help review 300 hundred pandals created by local artists and artisans. The city was colourful and vibrant in the celebration of the festival, uplifted in a united spirit to bring joy and happiness to the city regardless of religion or political ideas.

The Goa International Travel Mart (GITM) 2019, held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant on 23^rd October 2019. Dr Sawat met the exhibitors, international and national media, hosted buyers and investors in the tourism sectors. He reassured the government’s support and intentions to boost Goa as a vibrant destination.

The visitors interacted at the B2B sessions, heard the latest news about Goa  Tourism in the press conference and attended the Medical Tourism seminar which was presented by the medical fraternity in Goa.

The event was a grand success providing a unique opportunity for networking with the tourism stake-holders, and to showcase some of the best hospitality products of Goa to travel agents and tour operators from around the world.
